because it's bittersweet

senioritis. it's strange. i guess i've fallen victim. maybe it was this year or towards the end of last year that it happened to me, but i thought that each year before this one went by slowly. somehow this year is managing to both stand still and fly by. i feel like i can barely make it through the week alive, and yet there never seems to be enough time in the day to do what i feel i need to. i'm sure i'll miss it when it's over, the scrambling for last minute assignments, afterschool overload, and absolutely no freedom. yeah, i guess i won't miss it much at all. the thing i know i will miss the most when it's over is the people. the few people i have and hold on to i am still quite distant with. i will let go; things will be great this summer. i will spend time with my friends, reconnect, and strengthen my relationships only for them to be torn apart come september. if things go as planned, i will be about five and a half hours from my best friend, my tobey. we will have this summer. it will be incredible, and when it's over i will be terrified. of what? i don't know. change, the unknown...excited, but terrified. what have i gotten myself into? who knows. all i know is i'm ready.

i feel like it was just yesterday that it was summer and i was ready for the ninth grade. summer was incredible, i had met new people, tried new things, and i was excited to continue all of it through the next 4 years. eventually i figured out there was a bit more to it. now this summer will be so much like that summer, but this time we'll be leaving eachother. we'll be enthusiastic, and want to savor every moment together. as the end approaches, we'll be nervous and sad. it will be bittersweet, but i know that i will be ready...
Crashed on the floor when I moved in

This little bungalow with some strange new friends

Stay up too late, and I'm too thin

We promise each other it's til the end

Now we're spinning empty bottles

It's the five of us

With pretty-eyed boys girls die to trust
I can't resist the day
No, I can't resist the day

Currently: procrastinating.

But, WHAT ELSE IS NEW?! Sunday's are stressful. Between tobey, riding, work, homework, and the other things I should have gotten done over the weekend, I wish Sundays were more like 30 hours long.

TV is gross, wish it wasn't around to make so damn lazy.
